What Police Do
Simply put, this is a podcast by a police officer explaining the responsibilities, principles, policies, and goals of the average metropolitan patrol officer.As more and more people are sharing opinions regarding police over-sight, structure, laws, and guidelines this podcast serves as a resource to help inform those who would seek to improve the practice of law enforcement. In other words, you can't fix what you don't know.This podcast focuses more on the universally applied policies, procedures, and basic policing. Although it may engage specific examples, most of the type it will deal with hypothetical scenarios in order to train the listener as best as possible.I am a white male Christian. I work as a police officer on a large police department. I believe that systemic issues plague police departments. I believe this is due to hiring human beings and the systemic issues that come with being human--all people are prone to selfishness.
