In recent years, Barcelona have won El Clasico 5-0(h), 4-3(a) 6-2(a), 4-0(a), 3-1(a), 3-0(a), 3-2(a) and 5-1(h). Zidane remains the only Madrid manager to win on his first Clasico since 2007. Rafa Benitez lost 4-0, Jose Mourinho 5-0, Manuel Pellegrini 1-0, Juande Ramos 6-2 and now Julen Lopetegui 5-1. So, congratulations to Pellegrini on being the best loser at Real Madrid… While last week we discussed where it went wrong for Julen Lopetegui. This week shall complete his spectacular fall from grace, bowing out as Real Madrid manager off the back of a humiliating 5-1 defeat at the hands of their greatest rivals Barcelona. Supposedly, the man chosen to replace him is Antonio Conte, though perhaps not anymore. But is this the kind of fix-up job that only requires a simple change of manager, or is there a much deeper issue at hand at the Bernabeu?
