Seasonal Bounty Podcast

I am a seasoned hospitality professional, who in 2011 had a disabling accident that left me in a wheelchair. Which gave me the impetuous to submerge myself into the world of podcasts. As part of my rehab. I had time with dietician, who I casually asked. “Maureen, what are all these bad days diets you always hear in the media?” She answered.”There aren’t really any ‘bad diets, Just diets that lack fresh produce & diversity.” surprised I checked, “So this isn’t so much a behavioural problem, as it is an information problem?” “Yes, but I’m a dietician, not a public educator.” Well neither am I but having been a hospitality professional for most of my adult life. I have a passion for food and sourcing quality fresh produce and information from a number of Melbourne’s wide spread & excellent produce markets. So I felt sure I had the topic & source of info for a podcast focused on Seasonal Fruit , vegetable & fish & a goal to keep a diverse & changing list. So Seasonal Bounty was born, first as a written weekly report passed to family & friends on FaceBook. But with an extended run of excellent synchronicity or meaningful coincidences as I choose to view it as. I summoned the technical skills, equipment, faucilities and personal assistance. So come 2020 I was ready to launch. Now the story of Melbourne’s Covid lockdown has already painted 2020 as a year to forget. But for Seasonal Bounty, we launched as lockdown began & since then (late February we have made & broadcast no less than 36 10 to 12 minute episodes. With a new one added mid Saturday afternoon. Now every Saturday when Jay, my technical producer & I finish recording, editing & posting a new episode we look at each other & say,” I really do think we are getting better at this!” “For sure great episode!”So 2020 was the year of our birth & 2021 will be the year of our growth. So get ahead of the trend and subscribe now via the ‘Seasonal Bounty Pod page on FaceBook or Seasonal Bounty on Apple Podcasts with more to follow in February & a web page at seasonalbounty.com.au to launch by March at latest! Kind Regards! Stay Fresh. Cameron Davies
