In this episode, Tony Faubert (UWashington) invites Jon Perry to chat about his origin story into engineering and CPU design. Jon is a Senior Principal Engineer at Ampere, and he speaks on the group dynamics of a small team, building technical culture, and how diversity of thought is beneficial when crafting a new core microarchitecture. Tony shares his experience as an intern in the performance team, and the mind-boggling freedom he was given to explore and contribute to our upcoming processor this past summer.
